Civic Administration

The municipality´s activities are large and varied. Various committees within the municipality make decisions regarding goals and guidelines, though as part-time politicians they are not able to enact such suggestions into law. This is why there is a municipality council board with employees to do this work. These employees have expertise within certain fields. If a committee is responsible for the schools, it is they that hire principals, teachers, care-takers, economists and other groups of employees which are needed to support and follow-up the schools. There are around 2 200 employees in the municipality of Sundbyberg.
