Municipality´s economic result
Although Sundbyberg with the whole country was hit by financial crisis reduced the tax base in the first half of 2009, but could still deliver a positive result of 114.2 million, partly due to the large influx to the city.
Financial Goals
The municipality´s budget to comply with the municipal law, must be in balance, requiring that operating costs must be covered up by incoming income. If a deficit occurs in a single year, then it must be covered up within the following three years. The long term goal for Sundbyberg is to have a budgetary surplus of 20 million crowns. Sundbyberg is expected to continue with a balanced economy. From 2010 results are aimed to be 24 million. Balanced-budget achieved even 2010.
Municipal tax
The municipal tax in Sundbyberg is 19.03 kronor for 2010. The county council tax is 12.10 kronor. The total municipal levy for residents in Sundbyberg, during 2010 is 31.27 kronor for those who are not members of the Swedish Church and 31.96 for those who are.
