The school is situated in Solna, about 5 km north west of Stockholm. It has modern, light classrooms in which the chosen and core subjects are integrated by the teaching team.
Besides the obligatory core subjects you will be studying a number of other courses within the painting trade. These subjects include health and safety, painting techniques through the ages, computer knowledge as well as optional courses.
The painting and decorating trade demands high levels of personal responsibility, as much of the work is carried out in private homes. Examples of other working practice are decorating new buildings and restoration work.
The programme works closely with the painting industry. During your three years of study you will get at least 16 weeks´ work experience.
This programme will give you entitlement to higher education and university studies.
Fashion and Design Programme
This specially designed programme of fashion and design will give you basic knowledge and abilities in design, pattern cutting and sewing. The programme is designed for the student who wants to learn about creative work, fashion drawing, design and construction of clothes, computer knowledge and working with colour, form and textiles.
The programme will also give you good basic knowledge if you want to study more about retail, buying, textile teaching, etc.
Besides the obligatory core subjects you will study a number of courses in handicraft techniques, pattern construction, garment production, form and design, health and safety, computer technology, retail and service, the history of fashion and design, as well as optional courses, e.g. marketing and styling.
To ensure continually up to date courses this programme works closely with the fashion industry and other higher education. During your three years of study you will get at least 15 weeks´ work experience within the fashion industry.
This programme will give you entitlement to higher education and university studies.
Vehicle Programme
Car Mechanic
This programme is an education for the student who wants to work within the motor industry.
During the first year you will study the basic courses of the vehicle programme, and from the second year S:t Martin specializes in the car mechanic branch. You will learn all about the modern car industry through working on the factory floor as well as in the classroom.
Besides the obligatory core subjects you will study a number of vehicle courses, e.g. the PC-based diagnostic information system, health and safety, computer science as well as optional courses.
To ensure continually up to date courses, this programme works closely with the car industry. During your three years of study you will get at least 15 weeks´ work experience within the car industry.
This programme will give you entitlement to higher education and university studies.
Hair and Beauty Programme
The Hair and Beauty Programme is an education that will give you basic knowledge and abilities within the hairdressing trade. The students work in light and airy rooms, both practically with models and clients and theoretically in nearby classrooms. We put great emphasis on developing your personal interaction with clients at the school´s own salon.
The salon with 32 places is ergonomically designed with holsters for blow driers, hydraulic chairs etc. In consideration of health and safety it is equipped with good ventilation and central vacuum-cleaning facilities.
You will study the basic techniques of hairdressing and will learn to manage all sorts of hair styles, to include drying and setting techniques, haircutting, perms, colouring, styling and wedding hairstyles.
Besides the obligatory core subjects you will also study health and safety, the development of hair styles through the ages, retail and service, as well as optional courses.

Trade and Craft Programme
Cabinet-making and Carpentry
Cabinet-making and carpentry is an education that will give you basic knowledge and abilities in the making of furniture and carpentry. During your education you will acquire knowledge about modern as well as traditional techniques, drawing and estimation and learn how to plan and execute your work independently. You will study a choice of courses within the cabinet- making and carpentry trade. Some of the manufacturing is made by computer-controlled machines.
Besides the obligatory core subjects you will also study a variety of courses within the Trade and Craft Programme, such as health and safety, history of furniture design, retail and service, computer knowledge, Auto-Cad, as well as optional courses.
To ensure continually up to date courses this programme works closely with the carpentry trade. During your three years of study you will get at least 16 weeks´ work experience.
